What to Submit and Where to Place it

Welcome all you new members!! I encourage you to read this thoroughly to make my voting job easier!!! Now with instant examples!


MOST IMPORTANT RULE
when submitting your art, regardless of Gallery folder you are submitting too MUST be tree related!!! Trees must be the main (or very large) focus of your art. no kitties with blurry/out of focus leaves as a background, no bugs, buildings, weeds, non tree flowers, or cars will be allowed!!


Featured Folder

Featured folder is where the best submissions end up.. the will become a news article & Blog Feature either weekly or bi-weekly. Contributors have exhibited extreme talent and precision in their art  and can submit to this folder with automatic submission aproval.

Contests Archive

The Contest Archives displays all our contests in sub folders. Each folder is its own previous contest. New Contests will have a brand new gallery folder.

Photos of Trees

The Main focus of this Gallery folder is Photos (photography) of single to small groups of trees. 60 - 70% of the whole tree must be visible.
This is also something of a "catch all" for things that just don't fit in other categories.

Trees with Urban Surroundings

Here you can place Photographs of Trees living & Growing in cities, parks, and other populated areas. You photo in order to be considered "urban" has to include man made structures in it. Telephone poles, street lights, cars, buildings ect. We won't be to picky about roads or paths.

Tree Scapes

This is a Tricky folder. This folder is meant for higher elevation or very far away Photos of "above the Forest" (a birds eye view) or large landscape photos covered in trees. if you photo has a lot of landscape but only a few trees, it goes into "Photos of Trees" folder.

Into the Forest

As the title states, this is for all the forests and woodland photography. Your photo must have many trees, be taken from ground level, with brush, shrubs, or undergrowth.

Trees and People

This Folder would be the place for Portraits of people among trees. Your model must be interacting with trees, somehow to be accepted. (no nudity will be allowed. sorry)

Trees and Animals

We have a "Trees & People folder so it was just fair to create a Trees & Animals folder!! Trees are all about nature and what goes along with nature? but of course the creatures that live in and around them of course! Bugs on leaves should go here too.

Leaves, Branches, and Flowers from Trees

Here you can place all the close up shots of leaves, pine needles, twigs and branches, and blooms from Trees. (Note: we will not accept ground dwelling flowers. they must be from trees cherry blossoms ect.)

Bark, Stumps, and Roots

This folder is the opposite of the last folder.. meaning the bottom half of the tree. Show us the funky roots, wonderful different textures of bark, or fallen, broken trees.
