Night Dreams WinnersBefore I announce the winners, its has been brought to my attention that some of you have been pestering your watchers to vote for you.. THIS IS NOT FAIR..These Contests are for our members only! Not for all of Deviantart.. Especially the voting process!! When we do the "note voting" I try to check to see if those I'm receiving a note from are really members.. (sometimes that is impossible with 33 notes a day) What I really do NOT like is when you ask your watchers to vote on OUR polls because unfortunately.. you do not have to be a member to vote in our polls and I have no way of see who is voting... I want these contests to be fair to everyone in our Group.. therefore in future contests.. anyone caught trying to get their watchers to vote for them will be automatically disqualified from our contest.

This week I spied an awesome topic in *Fuzzypiggy's journal and knew instantly that it was what I would talk about for edition twenty eight. PE: Daily Deviations - The Myth and the LegendDaily Deviations, or DDs . . . for some deviants, receiving one is the epitome of awesomesauce in the deviantART world. For others, they are a nice way to show off the work of lesser-known artists. Still others treat them as a special way to bring attention to great art that exemplifies works being done by a particular gallery or community.
Perhaps because there are so many different ways of conceptualizing DDs, there are also many myths and misconceptions. I would like to address some of those myths by responding to the ones most frequently heard. Please note that these opinions are mine and reflect my experiences with the photomanipulation community, but perhaps they will be informative nevertheless.
Myth 1: DDs should always be perfect.
